Opportunity to join in for whole time, just the weekend or for a day!
This unique opportunity allows you to contribute your skills and energy to our community while enjoying a peaceful retreat experience. In exchange for your valuable support, we provide comfortable accommodations, nourishing meals, and the chance to immerse yourself in community-style living on 144 acres of tranquil land in south central Pennyslvania.
*Service Work Commitment: 3-4 hours daily, some times may be extended/shortened depending on the task and your involvement. Common tasks to include housekeeping, kitchen support, simple construction/handyman work, painting, weeding gardens, and whatever current needs may arise.
*Benefits: Daily meditations, nourishing meals, a chance to connect with like-minded individuals for an all-inclusive, nominal cost to cover food and operational costs.
*A Day in the Life: Your day will begin as we gather as a group for silent meditation. Afterwards, you’ll have personal time for journaling, exploring, and connecting with the land. Some may choose to continue their meditation while walking our labyrinth. A hearty brunch will be served mid morning and enjoyed together mindfully. Following brunch, tasks will be assigned and your volunteerism begins. An early evening meal will also be provided daily. We will finish each day with group meditation as well as sharing for those who wish to share their experience of the day on Amethyst. Weather permitting, we may have evening fire circles for the sharing experience
Participants provide their own bedding, towels and toiletries, along with personal snacks, journals, personal items, etc.
Sleeping at Amethyst is dorm style by gender, however bathrooms are gender neutral..
FINANCIAL EXCHANGE: $200- Wednesday-Sunday , $100- Friday-Sunday, includes all meals and schedule commitment to the above details. 🙏🏻
WHERE: Amethyst Retreat Center, 44 Buffalo Creek Rd, Duncannon, PA, is located just 25 minutes north of Harrisburg PA.
