Why? We could use some help, we love meeting new people, and we enjoy seeing the familiar faces each week! Building community is a major component to Amethyst’s mission.

Volunteer Day Itinerary:

• check in with Volunteer Day Host, Renee, to see how you can help :)

• Snacks are usually available the whole time and a small meal is ready near 6pm

• People are welcome to come and go as their schedule allows. Please do not let the timing of anything prevent you from coming :)

Where? Amethyst Retreat Center: 44 Buffalo Creek Rd, Duncannon PA

What kind of work will we do? We rely heavily on volunteers to keep this beautiful place going. Common tasks are cleaning the main house, grounds-keeping (weeding), forest trail maintenance, small repairs etc. Our volunteer day host, Renee, will set you up with tasks based on what is needed and what feels the most fulfilling for you. We have volunteer day rain or shine since there’s always lots of projects to do inside the house.

What to bring?

•Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Dress for the weather, if you plan to work outside.

•Bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated.

•When you can, please bring a side dish, snack or beverage to share. Please still come to volunteer if you are unable to bring anything.

Cancellations: We are here every Wednesday unless a reason to cancel arises (this is rare). Cancellations will be added as a banner on the top of this page and the event will be cancelled on Facebook.
