The art of slowing down, is a practice of creating inner peace within, a form of grounding- giving us a different lens to see our world. We all have the ability to manage our anxiety and to create a measure of peace. This is a Practice that will teach you how to develop an ability that you can carry with you, cultivating your inner strength. Why Practice this? Because “you will always be there for yourself”.

Class Description:
James will give a brief talk which will also be a time to share together. Then we’ll enjoy a short guided meditation (prep talk). From there, part one of the the Practice begins. After part one, we will enjoy a snack and chat then share a briefer guided meditation (reflections). Next, part 2 of The Practice begins which includes some movement. If weather permits, outdoor practice is possible. We will end our gathering with some closing comments and an opportunity to share.

James Magee was born and raised in Maryland. He has 14 years teaching martial arts and has a 3rd degree black belt. James has over 10 years of experience practicing mindfulness daily.
